Are Gaming Laptops only for Gamers?

If you’ve been asking yourself this question, our answer would be, No they’re not! Why would we say this? Well if you bought a bakkie with a tow-bar and rarely or never tow a trailer, you’d still want to have it for when the occasion may arise or you would have bought a car instead.

It is nice to have the capability to haul items. The same can be said about a gaming laptop, we all want the extra features. There are several reasons why gaming laptops are the best laptops for work as well.

Gaming computers can handle more information at once compared to regular computers and tend not to freeze or lag as much. This speed is due to the processing necessary for gaming and is dependent on the CPU which in gaming laptops are higher spec than standard laptops. Also, they come with larger RAM and the latest versions use SSD hard drives.

From the time you push the power button, a gaming laptop takes a few seconds before it kicks in ready to run. This is great especially when you have to have a business presentation done quickly or have data ready for a meeting. The laptop carries this same speed into opening programs too.

Gaming laptops do everything your standard computer can do and more.  The latest versions use Windows 10 as an operating system. So, if you had to install Microsoft 365 on a gaming laptop, the layout would be the same as any other pc. This makes them easy to use which equates to less time goofing around and more time to be efficient and get work done!

Gaming computers are built for gaming, they have been built to handle the games! This means they use high-quality parts and offer a better picture and graphics, better sound, more memory, and more efficient processors that effectively use battery power.

All of these are necessary to have in a computer, and the quality means there will be less hardware and processing problems.

If you buy a gaming laptop today, it is not going to be outdated as quickly as regular pc's. The reason? Gaming laptops are built for tomorrow’s computer programs and games, not today’s. Gaming computers are able to be upgraded more easily than regular pc’s. The parts simply need to be swapped out.

If you have a gaming laptop that is a few years old and you feel it isn’t running as it should, you can simply bring it to us in-store for a free health-check and have it assessed to replace any parts, software or upgrade. Thus, saving you money and time compared to buying an entirely new computer.
